SUMMER NUCLEAR STATION UNIT NO.1 REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Relief Request RR-4-01 IST Pump and Valve Surveillance Requirements Additional Information VCSNS submitted RR-4-01, IST Pump and Valve Surveillance Requirements, to the NRC by letter RC-13-0069 (ML13140A008). RR-4-01 was originated using a draft version of Code Case OMN-20. Code Case OMN-20 was published with ASME OM-2012 where the final wording was slightly different, but the bases and the intended application of OMN-20 did not change. By NRC letter to T. D. Gatlin on August 22, 2013 additional information is requested concerning RR-4-01 (ML13231A132).

1. For Relief Request RR-4-01, IST Pump and Valve. Surveillance Requirements, is it~your intent to adopt, as an alternative to the OM Code requirements, the exact wording of Code Case OMN-20, Inservice Test Frequency, as published in ASME OM-2012? The Relief Request RR-4-01 wording in the referenced letter is similar, but not exactly the same as OMN-20.

Under 10 CFR 50.55a(a)(3)(ii), VCSNS intends to use Code Case OMN-20, Inservice Test Frequency, as published in ASME OM-2012.
