On March 12, 2012, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued an order (Reference 1) to Union Electric Company ( dba Ameren Missouri) for Callaway Plant. Reference 1 was immediately Junction CC & Hwy 0 PO Box 620, MC CA-460 Fulton, MO 65251 AmerenMissouri.com
ULNRC-06008 July 3, 2013 Page 2 of 4 effective and directed Ameren Missouri to have a reliable indication of water level in associated spent fuel storage pools at Callaway Plant.
Reference 1 required submission of an initial status report 60 days following issuance of final interim staff guidance, and an overall integrated plan by February 28, 2013. Ameren Missouri provided those responses in References 2 and 3.
Reference 4 transmitted a Request for Additional Information (RAI) from the NRC to Ameren Missouri and requested a response within 30 days from the date of that letter. Ameren Missouri's response to the RAJ for Callaway Plant is contained in the Enclosure to this letter.
This letter does not contain any new or revised regulatory commitments.
