Dear Mr. Kapopoulos:

This letter refers to our meeting at the Holly Springs Cultural Center in Holly Springs, NC., on June 13, 2013, during which we discussed the results of the Nuclear Regulatory Commissions (NRC) Special Inspection Team review of the reactor vessel head nozzle repair at the Shearon Harris Nuclear Plant. The meeting accomplished the goal of communicating the results of the inspection in a public setting and presenting the methodology that was used to determine the licensees readiness to restart the facility. The meeting also afforded the members of the public the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback to the NRC regarding NRCs inspection activities at the Shearon Harris site before and after the business portion of the meeting.
