Application for Renewed Operating Licenses Pursuant to the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 10, Parts 50, 51, and 54, Exelon Generation Company, LLC (Exelon) hereby applies for the renewal of the Braidwood Station, Units 1 and 2 (Braidwood), and Byron Station, Units 1 and 2 (Byron) Facility Operating Licenses.

The License numbers are NPF-72, NPF-77, NPF-37 and NPF-66, respectively.

The existing Braidwood and Byron facility operating licenses are currently set to expire as follows: " At midnight on October 17, 2026 for Braidwood Station, Unit 1 (Facility Operating License No. NPF-72)" At midnight on December 18, 2027 for Braidwood Station, Unit 2 (Facility Operating License No. NPF-77)* At midnight on October 31, 2024 for Byron Station, Unit 1 (Facility Operating License No.NPF-37)" At midnight on November 6, 2026 for Byron Station, Unit 2 (Facility Operating License No.NPF-66)

S May 29, 2013 U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Page 2 Exelon seeks to extend the respective operating terms by 20 years beyond the current license expiration dates.The enclosed License Renewal Application (LRA) contains the information required by the regulations set forth in 10 CFR Parts 51 and 54, and meets the submittal timeliness requirements of 10 CFR 54.17(c) and 10 CFR 2.109(b).As required by 10 CFR 54.21 (b), current licensing basis changes which have a material effect on the content of this application will be identified annually while the application is under NRC review, and at least three months prior to the scheduled completion of the NRC review.Appendix A, Section A.5, of the enclosed Byron and Braidwood Stations (BBS) LRA provides a list of commitments made in this application.
