Acknowledgment of Withdrawal of License Amendment Request to Revise TS 3.3.B - Inoperable Control Rods (TAC No. MF0426)
- Phil, By letter dated December 17, 2012 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management Systems (ADAMS) Accession No. ML12356A297), Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. (Entergy, the licensee) submitted a license amendment request (LAR) for Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station, proposing to revise Technical Specification (TS) 3.3.B to provide an action statement for inoperable control rods consistent with a similar Standard TS provision in NUREG-1433, Revision 4.
By letter dated May 8, 2013 (ADAMS Accession No. ML13134A015), Entergy stated its decision to withdraw this LAR for NRC approval because it has determined that the proposed change is no longer necessary.
The purpose of this communication is to acknowledge your withdrawal of the original application dated December 17, 2012. The NRC staff will cease all review efforts on this LAR and close the Technical Assignment Control (TAC) No. MF0426. Please contact me if you have any questions.
