Acknowledgment of Withdrawal of License Amendment Request to Revise License Renewal Commitments (TAC No. ME8212)
- Phil, By letter dated March 12, 2012 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management Systems (ADAMS) Accession No. ML12097A031), Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. (Entergy, the licensee) submitted a license amendment request (LAR) for Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station, proposing revisions to License Renewal Commitment (LRC) nos. 3, 6, 16, and 19. By letter dated April 29, 2013 (ADAMS Accession No. ML13123A060), Entergy stated its intent to withdraw this LAR for NRC approval because a separate license amendment approved by the NRC (Amendment No. 256 dated April 17, 2013 (ADAMS Accession No. ML13042A272)) allows the licensee to change LRCs provided they are evaluated in accordance with 10 CFR 50.59.
The purpose of this communication is to acknowledge your withdrawal of the original application dated March 12, 2012. The NRC staff will cease all review efforts on this LAR and close the TAC No. ME8212. Please contact me if you have any questions.
