Dear Mr. Gellrich:
By letter dated July 2, 2012, as supplemented by letter dated March 6, 2013, Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, LLC submitted a license amendment request to revise the calculated peak containment internal pressure for the design basis loss-of-coolant accident in Technical Specification (TS) 5.5.16, "Containment Leakage Rate Testing Program" and the initial internal containment pressure limit in TS 3.6.4, "Containment Pressure" for Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, Unit Nos. 1 and 2.
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff is reviewing the submittal and has determined that additional information is needed to complete its review. The specific questions are found in the enclosed request for additional information (RAI). The NRC staff is requesting a response to the RAI within 30 days of the date of this letter.

In order to complete its review, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff needs the following additional information:
- 1. In regard to your response to the NRC staff's request for additional information question number 5 in letter dated February 6, 2013 (ADAMS Accession No. ML13036A237), provide justification on how equipment qualification (EQ) remains bounded for all points of the figures provided in Attachment 1 of your March 6, 2013, letter. Also, explain how margins are being maintained for equipment required to meet Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Section 50.49.
- 2. Provide a discussion on any impact of the proposed change on areas of the plant outside of containment (e.g., changes to EQ parameters such as temperature and pressure).
