SOUTH TEXAS PROJECT, UNIT 2 - VVITHDRAVVAL OF RELIEF REQUEST RR-ENG-3-12 (TAC NO. MF0644)
Dear Mr. Koehl:
By letter dated February 7,2013 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML13045A479), STP Nuclear Operating Company (STPNOC) applied for relief request RR-ENG-3-12 for South Texas Project (STP), Unit 2. STPNOC requested relief from American Society of Mechanical Engineers Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code requirements for periodic inspections of reactor coolant pressure boundary check valves with seal cap enclosures. Subsequently, by letter dated February 28, 2013 (ADAMS Accession No. ML130720527), STPNOC withdrew the relief request.
The purpose of this letter is to advise that the above-cited application is being treated as withdrawn. The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff activities on the review have ceased and the associated Technical Control number has been closed.
