ary 25, 2013 Serial No.13-107 LIC/CDS/R0 Docket No. 50-305 License No. DPR-43 KEWAUNEE POWER STATION CERTIFICATION OF PERMANENT CESSATION OF POWER OPERATIONS By letter dated November 2, 2012, Dominion Energy Kewaunee, Inc. (DEK) notified NRC of its intention to permanently cease power operations at Kewaunee Power Station (KPS). In this letter, DEK stated that the specific date for permanent cessation of operations was dependent upon completion of a grid reliability review by the Midwest Independent Transmission System Operator, Inc. (MISO). DEK further stated that after MISO has completed a grid reliability review, DEK would submit a supplement to this letter specifying the specific date that KPS will cease power operations. The MISO review has been completed and this letter provides the specific date for permanent cessation of operations at KPS.
Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.82(a)(1)(i), DEK hereby certifies to the NRC that it has decided to permanently cease power operation of KPS on May 7, 2013.
