FRIENDS OF THE EARTHS MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME Pursuant to 10 C.F.R. § 2.307(a) Petitioner Friends of the Earth (FoE) hereby requests an extension of time of seven days, or until February 13, 2013, allowing an increase in the time fixed for Petitioners Reply Brief, which is currently due on February 6, 2013 pursuant to the Boards December 20, 2012 Order. Such an extension is necessary and reasonable because Petitioner has received from two parties and one potential party over 200 pages of briefs and more than 1200 pages of attachments, many previously unseen by Petitioner. FoE believes 14 days (total) is the minimum time required to craft a high-quality reply to such a voluminous submission.
Counsel for NRC staff considers a seven-day extension a reasonable request and does not oppose this motion. Counsel for SCE opposes any extension.
