Dear Sir or Madam:

On March 12, 2012, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff issued a 10 CFR 50.54(f) letter to all power reactor licensees and holders of construction permits in active or deferred status (Reference 1). Enclosure 4 of Reference 1 contains specific Requested Actions, Requested Information, and Required Responses associated with Recommendation 2.3, Flooding. This letter provides Luminant Generation Company, LLC's 180-day response to Reference 1 regarding flooding walkdowns for Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant (CPNPP) Units 1 & 2.

For Recommendation 2.3, Flooding, Enclosure 4, item 2 of Reference 1 requires that within 180 days of NRC's endorsement of the walkdown procedure (Reference 2), CPNPP submit its final response for the requested information.

The enclosure to this letter contains CPNPP's final response to Reference 1, Enclosure 4, Recommendation 2.3: Flooding. The enclosure includes a list of any areas that were unable to be inspected due to inaccessibility and a discussion of the acceptability of areas or components.

There are no regulatory commitments made by CPNPP in this response.
