On August 3, 2012, the Commission issued a final rule amending its 10 C.F.R. Part 2 rules of practice for licensing proceedings.1 The effective date of the amended rules was September 4, 2012, and the new or amended requirements will be effective and govern all obligations and disputes that arise after the effective date.2 The parties are instructed to familiarize themselves with the amended Part 2, particularly those provisions regarding the filing of new or amended contentions.3 If any party believes it necessary or appropriate to modify the Boards Scheduling Order4 in light of the new rules, it 1
