Draft RAIs for Hope Creek APRM License Amendment Request
- Brian, By letter dated June 6, 2012 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML12158A532), PSEG Nuclear LLC, the licensee for Hope Creek Generating Station (HCGS), submitted a request for changes to the HCGS Technical Specifications (TSs). The proposed change would modify HCGS TS Section 3/4.3.1, "Reactor Protection System Instrumentation," and TS 3/4.3.6, Control Rod Block Instrumentation by modifying the operability requirements for the average power range monitoring (APRM) instrumentation system.
The NRC staff has reviewed the information submitted by PSEG, and based on this review, determined additional information is required to complete the evaluation. Please find attached a Request For Additional Information. Please respond to me by Friday, November 2, 2012, and advise if you desire to hold a teleconference to discuss the questions. The NRC staff requests a response to the attached RAI by December 3, 2012.
