- NON EMERGENCY OFFSITE NOTIFICATION TO NORTH CAROLINA WILDLIFE RESOURCE COMMISSION "On September 25, 2012, a Loggerhead Sea Turtle was retrieved from the 1B circulating water pump intake trash rack. The turtle was emaciated with no visible signs of injury and the condition of the turtle indicates that the death was recent. Therefore, the lethal take is most likely attributed to plant operations. A necropsy will be performed and, if it is determined that the take [death of the turtle] is not attributed to plant operations, an update to this notification will be made. Notification to the North Carolina Wildlife Resource Commission was completed at 0937 hours0.0108 days <br />0.26 hours <br />0.00155 weeks <br />3.565285e-4 months <br /> Eastern Daylight Time (EDT).
"This non-emergency notification is being made pursuant to 10 CFR 50.72(b)(2)(xi) due to the notification to the State agency.
