REQUEST FOR PUBLICATION IN BIWEEKLY FR NOTICE - NOTICE OF RECEIPT OF REQUEST FOR PARTIAL SITE RELEASE OF CLINTON POWER STATION, UNIT NO. 1 AND OPPORTUNITY FOR COMMENT AT PUBLIC MEETING (TAC NO. ME7794)
Exelon Generation Company, LLC, Docket No. 50-461, Clinton Power Station, Unit No.1, DeWitt County, Illinois Date of amendment request: November 18, 2011 Description of amendment request: The proposed partial site release would transfer 4-acres of property, owned by Exelon Generation Company, LLC (EGC), from Clinton Power Station, Unit No. 1 (CPS), to Creek Township to expand the Lisenby Cemetery.
Basis for request for partial site release: As required by 10 CFR 50.83(a), the licensee has provided its analysis in which they evaluated the effect of releasing the property and performed a historical site assessment of the property.
By application dated November 18, 2011 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management Systems (ADAMS) Accession No. ML11340A077), the licensee submitted a request for a partial site release. The proposed action would transfer 4-acres of property, owned by EGC, located across a lake on the outskirts of the OCA to Creek Township to expand the Lisenby Cemetery.
The NRC staff will conduct a public meeting to discuss the Clinton Power Station partial site release request on Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at 6:00
Biweekly Notice Coordinator p.m. at The Vespasian Warner Public Library District, 310 N. Quincy St., Clinton, IL. Public comments received prior to the meeting will be addressed.
For further details with respect to the proposed action, see the licensee=s letter dated November 18, 2011, as supplemented by letter dated February 21, 2012 (ADAMS Accession No. ML12060A028).
