Extreme care must be exercised to properly flush the Boric Acid Blender system following an outage. [C.2j NOTE I This is th.e :nomial mode of operation of the Rx. Makeup Control System. This allows for automatic makeup to VCT to compensate for leakage and/or temperature/density changes during transients/emergencies. However, Section 65 (Manual Makeup) is preferred for normal makeup in Modes I and 2.
NOTE 2 Nuclear instrumentation and reactor coolant temperature should be monitored following auto makeup to ensure dired response is obtained.
NOTE 3 it will take approximately 15 minutes before any changes to reactivity are indicated on nuclear instrumentation or RCS temperature indication.
NOTE 4 Flow oscillations and/or erratic controller response may require manual operation of Boric Acid Flow Controller tC42-i39] and Primary Water Flow Controller [FC-62-j2 until stable conditions exist.
