Watts Bar Nuclear Plant, Unit I - Anticipated License Amendment Requests In a letter dated September 9, 2011, the NRC requested confirmation of the License Amendment Requests (LARs) that the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) plans to submit for Watts Bar Nuclear Plant (WBN), Unit 1. The following list identifies the LARs that TVA currently plant to submit for WBN, Unit 1, the projected need dates and the planned submittal dates.

Planned LAR Subject Need Date Submittal Date

1. Change to Technical Specification (TS) 3.7.5, "Auxilary September 2012 On or before Feedwater (AFW) System," to adopt Technical November 28, Specification Task Force (TSTF)-340 to allow a 7-day 2011 completion time for the turbine driven AFW pump if the inoperability occurs in Mode 3 following a refueling and prior to entry into Mode 2 following refueling
2. Change to TS 3.8.1, "AC Sources - Operating," to modify 2012 or prior to On or before the acceptance criteria for the Emergency Diesel issuance of December 30, Generator (EDG) steady state frequency in several WBN2 Operating 2011 Surveillance Requirements License
3. Selective Implementation of Alternate Source Term in September 2012 On or before accordance with 10 CFR 50.67 and Regulatory Guide December 30, 1.183 to address Fuel Handling Accidents 2011
4. Change to TS 3.4.16, "RCS Specific Activity," to modify the September 2012 On or before dose equivalent 1-131 acceptance criterion for the pre-December 30, accident iodine spike 1

5. Change to TS 3.8.1 to permit Common Station Service One Year from On or before Transformer (CSST) A or B to be utilized to replace Submittal December 30, CSST D or C as an offsite power source 2011
6. Change to TS 3.8.1 to extend the Completion Time for One Year from At a date to be restoring an inoperable EDG Submittal determined
7. Adoption of TSTF-493 to clarify the application of One Year from At a date to be setpoint methodology for various Technical Specification Submittal determined functions By letter dated October 5, 2011, TVA submitted to the NRC a license amendment request to eliminate License Condition 2.G to permit alignment with 10 CFR 50.72 and 10 CFR 50.73. In addition, TVA has determined that the relief request identified in the NRC's letter dated September 9, 2011, will not be required.
