CORRECTION LETTER FOR LIMERICK GENERATING STATION, UNIT 2 SAFETY EVALUATION REGARDING SAFETY LIMIT MINIMUM CRITICAL POWER RATIOS (TAC NO. ME5182)
Dear Mr. Pacilio:
By letter dated April 5, 2011 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML110750446), the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued Amendment No. 162 to Facility Operating License No. NPF-85, for Limerick Generating Station (LGS), Unit 2. The amendment consisted of changes to the Technical Specifications relating to the LGS Unit 2 Safety Limit Minimum Critical Power Ratios, in response to your application dated December 15, 2010 (ADAMS Accession No. ML103500180). The safety evaluation enclosed with the amendment contains an error that is being acknowledged and corrected by this letter.
Section 3.2 of the safety evaluation contains a reference to NEDE-24011-P-A, "General Electric Standard Application for Reactor Fuel (GESTAR II)," Revision 16, dated October 2007 (ADAMS Accession No. ML091340077). This reference should have been NEDE-24011-P-A, "General Electric Standard Application for Reactor Fuel (GESTAR II)," Revision 17, dated September 2010 (ADAMS Package No. ML102660094). Both revisions of NEDE-24011-P-A are NRC approved and therefore, this error does not have any bearing on the NRC staff's technical evaluation or conclusions.
