regarding Revision to Emergency Feedwater Pump Fuel Oil Volume, (ME5747)
Importance:
High Dan/Dennis, By letter dated February 25, 2011, Florida Power Corporation (the licensee) submitted an license amendment request (LAR) # 311 for Crystal River Unit 3 (CR-3), regarding Revision to Emergency Feedwater Pump Fuel Oil Volume. Per LIC-109, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff completed the acceptance review of the licensees submittal dated February 25, 2011, and finds it to be acceptable for review in that the submittal reasonably appear to contain sufficient technical information, both in scope and depth, for the NRC staff to complete the detailed technical review and render, in an appropriate time frame, an assessment of the proposed action with regard to applicable regulatory requirements; and the protection of public health and safety, and the environment..
The acceptance review may result in some questions that will need to be addressed informally or formally prior to the completion of the staff's final assessment of the exemption.
- Thanks, Farideh E. Saba, P.E.
