Dear Sir or Madam:

Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc, (Entergy) requested an exigent License Amendment to Operating License DPR-64, Docket No. 50-286 for Indian Point Nuclear Generating Unit No. 3 (1P3) in Reference 1. This was supplemented in References 2 and 3 based on discussions with the NRC. As a result of the NRC request in Reference 4, Entergy changed the request to a

NL-10-112 Docket No. 50-286 Page 2 of 2 non exigent License amendment request in Reference 5. The proposed amendment was to allow a one time extension of the 72 hour8.333333e-4 days <br />0.02 hours <br />1.190476e-4 weeks <br />2.7396e-5 months <br /> completion time of Technical Specification (TS) 3.7.5, Condition B, Action B.1 "Restore AFW train to OPERABLE status." Entergy was able to complete the necessary repairs within the allowed completion time and the pump has performed well the since then, therefore Entergy would like to withdraw the requested amendment.
