Dear Mr. Shapiro:

In your letter dated November 4,2010, you requested that the Nuclear Regulatory Commission

("NRC") immediately cease making publicly available any copy of the 10 CFR 2.206 petition filed by Mr. Lawrence S. Criscione on September 17, 2010 ("Petition"). Should the NRC be required to make some version of the petition public, you Requested that the NRC redact the names of certain Callaway Nuclear Generating Station ("Callaway") employees from any copy of the Petition made publicly available by the NRC. Your specific concern is that making the 2.206 petition publicly available will harm the privacy interests of certain Ameren Missouri employees named in the petition. You state that, to the extent the NRC must make the 2.206 petition publicly available, it should make certain redactions in order to address employees' privacy concerns.

Please be aware that at this time the 2.206 petition relating to your client is no longer publicly available through the NRC's Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS). Your letter dated November 4, 2010, is also non-publicly available through the NRC's ADAMS.

At this tillIe, the NRC staff is reviewing the 2.206 petition to determine whether portions of the petition should be released to the public. During its review the NRC staff will consider the concerns expressed in your letter dated November 4, 2010, along with your proposed redactions.
