Watts Bar Nuclear Plant (WBN) Unit 2 - Request to Withdraw Documents from Public Access that Were Previously Made Available to the Public (TAC Nos. L32917 and L32918)

Reference:

1. TVA letter to NRC, Response to Request for Additional Information Regarding the Safety Evaluation Report for 10 CFR 70 License Application for Watts Bar Nuclear Plant, Unit 2 (TAC No. L32918),

dated July 30, 2010 The purpose of this letter is to request that the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) withdraw from public access the following TVA material control and accounting (MC&A) procedures previously made available to the public in a July 30, 2010 TVA submittal (Reference 1). TVA neither requested withholding in the July 30 letter nor marked the information as proprietary pursuant to 10 CFR 2.390.

TVA requests that the procedures listed below be withheld from public disclosure in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 2.390(d)(1), which states that correspondence and reports to or from the NRC which contain information or records concerning a licensee's or applicant's physical protection, classified matter protection, or material control and accounting program for special nuclear material not otherwise designated as Safeguards Information or classified as National Security Information or Restricted Data is considered commercial or financial information and exempt from public disclosure.
