UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION WASHINGTON, D.C. 20555*0001 November 5, 2010 Mr. Paul Freeman Site Vice President c/o Mr. Michael O'Keefe NextEra Energy Seabrook, LLC P.O. Box 300 Seabrook, NH 03875

SUBJECT:

SEABROOK STATION, UNIT NO.1 - CORRECTION LETTER RE: RELIEF REQUEST FOR SYSTEM PRESSURE TEST EXAMINATIONS ON CLASS 1 COMPONENT PRESSURE BOUNDARIES (TAC NO. ME2418)

Dear Mr. Freeman:

By letter dated October 15, 2010 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML102350341), the Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff authorized an alternative to the requirements of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code,Section XI for Seabrook Station, Unit No.1 (Seabrook). The purpose of this letter is to correct the cover letter transmitting this authorization. Specifically, the cover letter incorrectly indicated that this action applied to the third 10-year interval for Seabrook, while the enclosed SE correctly indicates its applicability to the second 1O-year interval.

If you have any additional questions regarding this matter, I may be reached via telephone at (301) 415-2481.
