SUBJECT:

CATAWBA NUCLEAR STATION, UNIT 2, CORRECTION LETTER FOR ADMINISTRATIVE LICENSE CHANGES REGARDING CONFORMING LICENSE AMENDMENT TO INCORPORATE THE MITIGATION STRATEGIES REQUIRED BY SECTION B.5.b. OF COMMISSION ORDER EA-02-026 (TAC NO. MD4709)

Dear Mr. Morris:

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), by letter dated August 16, 2007 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System, Accession No. ML072270076), issued an administrative license change to Renewed Facility Operating License NPF-52 for the Catawba Nuclear Station, Unit 2 (Catawba 2). The amendment incorporated the mitigation strategies required by Section B.5.b of Commission Order EA-02-026.

The NRC staff inadvertently made incorrect changes to Section 2.D. of Renewed Facility Operating License NPF-52 when revising adjacent portions of the license as part of the administrative license change.

Enclosed are the corrected license pages 5 and 6 for Renewed Facility Operating License NPF-52 to reflect the correct language for Section 2.D.

If you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact me at (301) 415-1119.

Sincerely, Jon Thompson, Project Manager Plant Licensing Branch 11-1 Division of Operating Reactor Licensing Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation Docket No. 50-414
