PALISADES NUCLEAR PLANT - WITHDRAWAL OF AN AMENDMENT REQUEST (TAC NO. MD9560)
Dear Sir:
By letter dated August 28, 2008, you applied for an amendment to the Palisades Nuclear Plant, Facility Operating License No. DPR-20. The proposed change would have modified the facility Technical Specifications as they apply to Administrative Controls Section 5.3 Plant Staff Qualifications, and Section 5.6.5 Core Operating Limits Report (COLR). ENO supplemented the License Amendment Request by letter dated May 14, 2009. Subsequently, by letter dated May 6,2010, you withdrew the amendment request.
The Commission has filed the enclosed Notice of Withdrawal of Application for Amendment to Facility Operating License with the Office of the Federal Register for publication.

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has granted the request of Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. (ENO) (the licensee) to withdraw its August 28,2008, application for proposed amendment to Facility Operating License No. DPR-20 for the Palisades Nuclear Plant, located in Van Buren County, Michigan. The proposed amendment would have revised the facility Technical Specifications as they apply to Administrative Controls Section 5.3 Plant Staff Qualifications, and Section 5.6.5 Core Operating Limits Report (COLR). ENO supplemented the License Amendment Request by letter dated May 14, 2009.
The Commission had previously issued a Notice of Consideration of Issuance of Amendment published in the FEDERAL REGISTER on November 4, 2008 (73 FR 65691).
However, by letter dated May 6,2010, the licensee withdrew the proposed change.
For further details with respect to this action, see the application for amendment dated August 28, 2008, supplemented by letter dated May 14, 2009, and the licensee's letter dated May 6, 2010, which withdrew the application for license amendment.
