Dear Mr. Scarola:
This refers to the meeting conducted at your request at the NRC Region II Office on May 12, 2010, at 2:00 pm. The meeting's purpose was for Carolina Power and Light Company to discuss the Root Cause investigation results, lessons learned and corrective actions taken and/or planned following the fire event on March 28, 2010.
The topics discussed included the event overview, the event review team make up, the investigation results, corrective actions, and lessons being shared with your fleet and the industry. Enclosed are a list of attendees (Enclosure 1) and the presentation handouts (Enclosure 2).
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its enclosure will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR) or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRC's Agencywide Document Access and Management System (ADAMS).
