Description:
Recent pipe leaks at Oyster Creek have resulted in tritium releases to grodndwater. Digging permit, clearances, asphalt removal, soil sampling and analysis for gamma is required to allow installation of recovery well in the event tritium removal is required. Vendor support, New Jersey licensed well driller, and hydrogeologist support will be required for well installation.
Immediate actions taken:
Discussed with OCC and developed IR to initiate digging permit and associated clearances.
Recommended Actions:
Initiate actions required to clear area for well installation for Wednesday May 6th.
