Mid Shift 4/25/2009 Received a report from RP that there is a leak from the 2:12:00 AM west wall of the excavation hole of approximately 1 GPM of warm water between the CST and the Condensate transfer house. Preliminary results are that the water is contaminated from a frisk of a glove immersed in the leak.
The field supervisor and intake operator were dispatched.
Chemistry will be sampling the water. Initial WD level is 30.8 ft., and the CST is 33.5 ft.
Log Date Entry User 4/25/2009 Chemistry Technician informed the Control Room that the sample of water Johnston found in the excavation exhibited a gamma source of Xe-135 at a 3:55:00 AM Steven P concentration of 7.05 E-7 microcuries per milliliter.
Completed conference call with duty station manager, director of training, 4/25/2009 chemistry manager. plant manager, and SVP regarding water flow into Johnston 3:40:02 AM excavation on the north west side of the condensate transfer house. OCC Steven P member have been paged to restaff.
