Acceptability review of Relief Request 09-004-II for Crystal River Unit 3
- Dennis, The NRC staff completed the acceptance review, per LIC-109, of the Relief Request (RR) 09-004-II Revision 0, associated with bare-metal inspection of the Reactor Pressure Vessel bottom-mounted nozzles (ME2606)at Crystal River Unit 3. The NRC staff finds the subject RR to be acceptable for review in that the relief request reasonably appears to contain sufficient technical information, both in scope and depth, for the staff to complete the detailed technical review and render, in an appropriate time frame, an assessment of the proposed action with regard to applicable regulatory requirements and the protection of public health, safety, and security.
The acceptance review did result in some questions that are needed to be addressed informally or formally prior to the completion of the staff's final assessment of the RR.
