In Reference (a), R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant, LLC (Ginna LLC) submitted a code alternative to extend the Reactor Vessel In-Service Inspection (ISI) weld examinations from once every 10 years to once every 20 years. In support of this request, Ginna LLC submitted, in Reference (b), a license amendment request that would establish a licensing condition to report reactor vessel weld inspection information and analyses as specified in Reference (c).

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has now modified the requirement, as described in Reference (d), so that a licensing condition to address the evaluation of future ISI data is no longer necessary. As a result, Ginna LLC withdraws our license amendment request contained in Reference (b).

Should you have questions regarding this matter, please contact Mr. Thomas L. Harding at (585) 771-5219.
