PURPOSE: The purpose of the conference call between South Carolina Electric and Gas Company and the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff is to discuss the licensee's planned responses to the NRC's Request for Additional Information pertaining to Generic Letter 2004-02, "Potential Impact of Debris Blockage on Emergency Recirculation during Design Basis Accidents at Pressurized-Water Reactors," dated February 3,2009 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession No. ML090270927) for the VC Summer Nuclear Station, Unit 1.
