RR-89-61 Rev. 2 Need Date for DNC To: Carleen Sanders NRC Project Manager Per our telephone conversation on 7/29/09, the following email documents DNCs need date for Relief Request RR-89-61 Rev. 2.
Dominion Nuclear Connecticut, Inc. (DNC) letter serial no.09-376, Request RR-89-61 Revision 2, Alternative Repair and Mitigation Requirements for Structural Weld Overlays, was issued on July 23, 2009. This DNC request contains the design details that are necessary for completion of reactor coolant system weld overlays during the fall refueling outage 19 at Millstone Power Station Unit 2 (MPS2). The request adds the most recent revision of technical reports to be incorporated into the alternative requirements previously approved for use in NRC letter dated May 8, 2008. In all other respects, RR-89-61, Revision 2 is the same as previously approved.
To ensure reduced dose to workers performing these weld overlay activities during the MPS2 refueling outage 19, DNC requests review and approval of this request by October 17, 2009.
