DIGITAL INSTRUMENTATION AND CONTROL STANDARD REVIEW PLAN CHAPTER SCHEDULED CLOSURE PLAN
Dear Mr. Marion:
The purpose of this letter is to provide you with an update and expected closure schedule for the various Standard Review Plan (SRP) chapters as outlined in the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commissions (NRCs) Digital Instrumentation and Control (DI&C) Project Plan dated May 13, 2009, Revision 2 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS)
Accession No. ML091380154). The Standard Review Plan, NUREG-0800, establishes the criteria that the NRC staff responsible for the review of applications to construct and operate nuclear power plants intends to use in evaluating whether an applicant/licensee meets the NRC's regulations.
Revision 2 of the DI&C Project Plan outlined the current status and the expected completion dates for specific milestones, assignments, and deliverables; including those related to the development of regulatory documents that will close the Interim Staff Guidance (ISGs) currently implemented by the NRC staff. Deliverables associated with the long-term objectives of this plan are to update the SRP, Branch Technical Positions (BTPs), and other regulatory documents. The following table outlines the expected schedule for issuance of the various SRP chapters and the NRC offices involved.
