Phone Call with Plant Representatives (GSI-191) - Indian Point, Calvert Cliffs, Vogtle, SONGS, St. Lucie On April 2, 2009, NRC staff had telephone conversation with the subject licensees and its contractors to discuss and provide our position on chemical effect refinements associated with a draft test "protocol" that is being developed by Alion Science and Technology for use in predicting the contribution that chemical effects has in the total head loss at the containment sump screen during long term recirculation. The title of the Alion draft document is, "Protocol for Applying Chemical Effect Refinements to Hydraulic Testing Results." The telephone call summary, which is an internal NRC memo, has been placed in ADAMS (Accession No. ML090970582, dated April 7, 2009), and has been made as "publicly available" document for your use.
