To meet with the Licensee to discuss their schedule and logistics requirements for the submittal of the license renewal application for the Salem and Hope Creek Generating Plants. The agenda for the meeting is enclosed.

This is a category 1 meeting. The public is invited to observe this meeting and will have the opportunity to communicate with the NRC after the business portion, but before the meeting is adjourned.

PURPOSE (contd): Members of the public may register to present oral comments at the meetings by contacting Donnie Ashley at 1-800-368-5642, extension 3191, or by e-mail at donnie.ashley@nrc.gov, no later than March 9, 2009. Those who wish to make comments may also register within 15 minutes of the start of each meeting. Individual oral comments may be limited by the time available, depending on the number of persons who register.
If special equipment or accommodations are needed to attend or present information at the meeting, the need should be brought to the attention of Mr. Ashley at 1-800-368-5642, extension 3191, or by e-mail at donnie.ashley@nrc.gov, no later than March 9, 2009, to provide NRC staff adequate notice to determine whether the request can be accommodated.
