Quad Cities Relief Request (ML083390174) Acceptance Review Letter Mr. Schrage:
By letter dated December 3, 2008, (ADAMS Accession No. ML083390174), Exelon Generation Company, LLC (EGC), submitted a request applicable to Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station, Units 1 and 2.
The request for approval is to Partially Implement Subsequent Edition of ASME OM Code, Section ISTC-5222, "Condition-Monitoring Program" and Mandatory Appendix II, "Check Valve Condition Monitoring Program" for the remainder of the fourth 10-year Inservice Testing (IST) interval.
The NRC staff reviewed the application and found that the submittal is acceptable for review. However, this does not mean that the NRC staff will "not" need additional information during the review.
