MCGUIRE NUCLEAR STATION, UNIT 1, WITHDRAWAL OF RELIEF REQUEST 08-MN-002 (TAC NO. MD9693)
Dear Mr. Hamilton:
By letter dated September 18, 2008, pursuant to the requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 50, Section 50.55a(a)(3)(i), you requested relief from the regulations to support application of a structural weld overlay to the reactor vessel hot leg nozzle-to-safe end welds at McGuire Nuclear Station, Unit 1. The examinations of the welds were completed on October 12, 2008. The examination results indicated that the welds did not require repair.
As a result the relief request was no longer necessary, and subsequently, by letter dated October 24, 2008, you withdrew the relief request.
The purpose of this letter is to advise that the above cited relief request is being treated as withdrawn.
