RECEIPT AND AVAILABILITY OF THE LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION FOR THE KEWAUNEE POWER STATION
Dear Mr. Christian:
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or staff) has received an application for renewal of operating license number DPR-43 for the Kewaunee Power Station (KPS) from you (Dominion Energy Kewaunee, Inc.) by letter dated August 12, 2008. We are currently performing an acceptance review for docketing in accordance with the requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Section 2.101 (10 CFR 2.101), and will notify you of the results of our review. Should the NRC staff determine that the application is acceptable for docketing, a schedule for the review will then be provided to you.
We have enclosed for your information a copy of the notice relating to your application that is being sent to the Office of the Federal Register for publication.
I am pleased to announce the appointment of John W. Daily as the project manager for your license renewal application. Please forward copies of all license renewal correspondence to Mr. Daily. Peter Tam continues to remain responsible for the project management of all issues other than license renewal for KPS.
