WITHDRAWAL OF BOILING WATER REACTOR OWNERS GROUP (BWROG)
TOPICAL REPORT (TR) NEDO-33148, "SEPARATION OF LOSS OF OFFSITE POWER FROM LARGE BREAK LOCA [LOSS-OF-COOLANT ACCIDENT]"
Dear Mr. Bunt:
By letter dated August 25, 2006 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Package Accession No. ML062480321), as supplemented by letter dated September 28, 2007 (ADAMS Accession No. ML072750041), the BWROG submitted the TR NEDO-33148, "Separation of Loss of Offsite Power from Large Break LOCA," Revision 2, for U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff review. Subsequently, by letter dated June 12, 2008, the BWROG requested a withdrawal of the TR from NRC review (ADAMS Accession No. ML081680048).
Your letter dated June 12, 2008, also requested NRC closure of the associated TAC No. MC3042. The TAC No. MC3042 was closed in 2006, because it was associated with an earlier revision of the subject TR. The TAC No. that NRC staff was using for the revision submitted on August 25, 2006, was MD2917.
Based upon your request for withdrawal of TR NEDO-33148, the NRC staff will terminate its review and TAC No. MD2917 will be closed. If you have questions regarding this matter, please contact Michelle C. Honcharik at (301) 415-1774.
