SUBJECT:
LIMERICK GENERATING STATION UNIT NO. 2 - WITHDRAWAL OF AN AMENDMENT REQUEST REGARDING LEAKAGE DETECTION SYSTEMS (TAC NO. MD7377)
Dear Mr. Pardee:
By letter dated November 16, 2007 (Agencywide Documents and Access Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML073230134), you applied for an amendment to the Limerick Generating Station (LGS), Unit 2, Facility Operating License No. NPF-85. The proposed change would have modified the facility technical specifications pertaining to reactor coolant system leakage detection systems due to the inoperability of the drywell unit cooler condensate flow rate monitoring system, which could not be repaired on line. Subsequently, by letter dated March 28, 2008, you withdrew this request (ADAMS Accession No. ML080910504). The request was withdrawn because the LGS, Unit 2, drywell unit cooler condensate flow rate monitoring system was repaired during an unscheduled plant outage on February 4, 2008.
Based on the withdrawal of the license amendment request, TAC No. MD7377 is being closed.
The Commission has filed the enclosed Notice of Withdrawal of Application for Amendment to Facility Operating License with the Office of the Federal Register for publication.
Please contact me at (301) 415-2833 if you have any questions on this issue.
Sincerely,
/RA/
