ARKANSAS NUCLEAR ONE, UNITS 1 AND 2 - CORRECTION TO LICENSE AMENDMENT 231 FOR UNIT 1 AND LICENSE AMENDMENT 275 FOR UNIT 2 (TAC NOS. MD5379 AND MD6627)
Dear Sir or Madam:
The purpose of this letter is to provide you with corrected license pages issued in recent amendments for Arkansas Nuclear One, Unit 1 (ANO-1) and Unit 2 (ANO-2). The corrections result from recent software conversions that caused text to move to the wrong page in the Facility Operating Licenses.
By letter dated February 4, 2008, the Commission issued Amendment No. 231 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-51 and Amendment No. 274 to Facility Operating License No. NPF-6. The amendments consisted of changes to the Technical Specifications (TS) in response to your application dated April 24, 2007, as supplemented by letters dated August 2, 2007, and January 8, 2008. The amendments relocated the Fuel Handling Area Ventilation System and associated Ventilation Filter Testing Program requirements that are included in the ANO-1 TS 3.7.12 and TS 5.5.11 and the ANO-2 TS 3.9.11 and TS 6.5.11, to the unit-specific Technical Requirements Manuals (TRMs). We have enclosed a corrected license page 3 for ANO-1s Amendment 231; ANO-2s Amendment 274 license page 3 was unaffected.
Also, by letter dated March 5, 2008, the Commission issued Amendment No. 275 for Facility Operating License No. NPF-6. The amendment consisted of changes to the TS in response to your application dated August 30, 2007, as supplemented by letter dated December 5, 2007.
The amendment revised TS 3.1.3.4, Reactivity Control Systems CEA [Control Element Assembly] Drop Time, to change the individual rod drop time from the fully withdrawn position to 90 percent insertion from less than or equal to 3.5 seconds to less than or equal to 3.7 seconds.
We have enclosed a corrected license page 3 for ANO-2s Amendment 275.
