SUBJECT:
CALVERT CLIFFS NUCLEAR POWER PLANT, UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 -
CORRECTION TO AMENDMENT NOS. 278 AND 255 RE: STEAM GENERATOR TUBE INTEGRITY (TAC NOS. MC8067 AND MC8068)
Dear Mr. Spina:
On March 9, 2006, the Commission issued Amendment No. 278 to Renewed Facility Operating License No. DPR-53 and Amendment No. 255 to Renewed Facility Operating License No.
DPR-69 for the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, Unit Nos. 1 and 2. These amendments were in response to your application dated July 13, 2005, as supplemented on November 29, 2005, and January 20 and February 13, 2006. These amendments revised Technical Specification (TS) 1.1, Definitions, TS 3.4.13, RCS [reactor coolant system] Operational Leakage, TS 5.5.9, Steam Generator Tube Surveillance Program, TS 5.6.9, Steam Generator Tube Inspection Report, and added new TS 3.4.18, Steam Generator (SG) Tube Integrity.
The list of affected TS pages attached to the amendment only addressed those pages which were revised as a result of the amendments and inadvertently failed to identify those pages which should have been deleted. Subsequently, you informed us that certain pages in TS 5.5.9 are no longer applicable. Therefore, we have enclosed the list of TS pages to be deleted.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. If there are any questions regarding this matter, please contact me at (301) 415-1364.
Sincerely,
/RA/
