SUBJECT:

Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc.Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station Docket 50-293 License No. DPR-35 Supplemental Follow -Up Response to NRC Generic Letter 2003-01 1. Entergy Letter No. 2.06.019, "Follow-up Response to NRC Generic Letter 2003-01", dated March 20, 2006 (TAC MB9840)REFERENCE LETTER NUMBER: 2.07.050

Dear Sir or Madam:

Reference 1 provided the follow-up response to Generic Letter 2003-1 for Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station (PNPS). In the attachment to the letter, PNPS indicated that it planned on submitting a license amendment request to revise the licensing basis to adopt the remaining scope of AST applicability that would allow Control Room Envelope (CRE) inleakage greater than the current licensing basis.During the time since that letter was submitted, the inputs to the original dose consequence calculationwere reassessed.

The dose consequence calculation was revised to update inputs with a control room inleakage value of 400 scfm. This value is substantially greater than the measured inleakage of 121 +/- 26 scfm (Reference 1). The revised calculation demonstrates that the GDC-19 dose limits are met when the Control Room is placed in the isolated mode. Based on the results from the revised dose consequence analysis, PNPS is no longer planning to submit a request to adopt the AST methodology.

This letter contains no new commitments.

Should you require further information, please contact Bryan Ford at (508) 830-8403.Sincerely, S4teeJ etha'y Director, Nuclear Assessment
