Crystal River CY2006 Assessment Results Crystal Rivers performance was within the Licensee Response Column of the NRCs Action Matrix for the third and fourth quarters of CY2006.

Crystal Rivers performance was within the Regulatory Response column in the first and second quarters of CY2006 due to a White inspection finding in the Mitigating System Cornerstone (Fire Protection) originating in the third quarter of CY2005. A supplemental inspection was completed in January 2006 and no findings of significance were identified.

All Unit 3 inspection findings were classified as very low safety significance (Green).

All performance indicators were Green.

Crystal River Assessment Summary

  • Progress Energy operated Crystal River in a manner that preserved public health and safety.
  • All cornerstone objectives were met.
  • NRC plans baseline inspections at Crystal River for the remainder of CY2007.
