STAFF HYDROLOGIC TECHNICAL EVALUATION REPORT FOR THE SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1 & 2 -
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION CHANGE REQUEST FOR ULTIMATE HEAT SINK TEMPERATURE (TAC No. MD2621)
The Hydrologic Engineering Branch (RHEB) has prepared a Hydrologic Technical Evaluation Report for Sequoyah Nuclear Plant, Units 1 & 2 - Technical Specification Change Request, Section 3.7.9.1, Ultimate Heat Sink (UHS) Temperature. Based on our review of the application and the result of staffs confirmatory analyses, the staff concluded that the Ultimate Heat Sink (UHS) system with the proposed technical changes can provide the necessary cooling water to the plant after a postulated downstream dam failure. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns on our review (Enclosure).
