REQUEST FOR PUBLICATION IN BIWEEKLY FR NOTICE -
NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE (TAC NO. MB5291)
Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Corporation, Docket No. 50-271, Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station, Vernon, Vermont Date of application for amendment: October 5, 2001, as supplemented on November 7 and 8, 2001, and January 23 and April 30, 2002 Brief description of amendment: The amendment revises the license and technical specifications to reflect changes related to the transfer of the license for the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station, previously held by Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Corporation, to Entergy Nuclear Vermont Yankee, LLC and Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc.
Date of Issuance: July 31, 2002 Effective date: As of the date of issuance, and shall be implemented within 60 days.
Amendment No.: 208 Facility Operating License No. DPR-28: Amendment revised the Technical Specifications and License.
Date of initial notice in FEDERAL REGISTER: December 7, 2001 (66 FR 63566)
Biweekly Notice Coordinator The letters dated January 23 and April 30, 2002, provided clarifying information and did not expand the application beyond the scope of the notice or affect the applicability of the Commission's generic no significant hazards consideration determination pursuant to 10 CFR 2.1315.
The Commission's related evaluation of this amendment is contained in a Safety Evaluation dated July 31, 2002.
No significant hazards consideration comments received: No.
