By letter dated August 2, 2006 Duke requested the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) approve License Amendment Request for Allowing Use of Atmospheric Dump Valves to Control Main Steam Pressure During a Standby Shutdown Facility (SSF) Event (TSC 2006-07).

Based on further evaluation of this submittal and comments received during discussions with NRC, we have determined that this TSC is no longer a priority as a safety enhancement. We request that TSC Number 2006-07 be withdrawn.
