SUMMARY

OF SEPTEMBER 26, 2006, CATEGORY 1 PRE-APPLICATION MEETING WITH CEG TO DISCUSS NMP2 EXTENDED POWER UPRATE (EPU)

APPLICATION TO BE SUBMITTED DURING THE FIRST QUARTER 2008 (TAC NO. MD2844)

On September 26, 2006, a public meeting was held between the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), and representatives of CEG, the licensee for NMP2 at NRC Headquarters, One White Flint North, 11555 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD. The purpose of the meeting was to conduct a discussion of the NMP2 EPU application to be submitted during the first quarter 2008.

The licensee presented information on a plan and preliminary timeline for the EPU at NMP2.

The licensee also presented the EPU Project Organization, potential major equipment modifications/replacements, method of preparing the EPU application, and related license submittals that will overlap.

Members of the public represented Dominion, GE Energy Nuclear, and MPR Associates.

Members of the public chose not to complete any Public Meeting Feedback Forms (NRC Form 659), which were available at the meeting.
