Plant Vogtle May 23 Meeting with NRC SNC proactively set up this meeting to discuss some of the challenges at Plant Vogtle:
- 3 forced outages on Unit 2 due to RCS Leakage
- Unit 1 reactor trips and margin to White NRC PI
- Unit 2 margin to White NRC PI on Unplanned Power Changes
- Vogtle margin to White NRC PI on MSPI when it rolls out in July

- Revitalized Plant Health Committee that meets weekly with senior managers
- Accurate system health reports that feed issues into the ERL
- Semi-annual system walk downs with engineers by senior management
- SPV Project

- CAP energized to drive repeat failures to low levels.
Additionally the station is focusing on Operational Risk Awareness and Procedure Use and Compliance to provide additional barriers on plant events caused by people.
