SUMMARY

OF NOVEMBER 17, 2005, MANAGEMENT MEETING WITH PSEG On November 17, 2005, at 7:00 p.m., a management meeting was conducted between the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and Public Service Enterprise Group Nuclear, LLC (PSEG) at the Bridgeport Holiday Inn in Swedesboro, NJ. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss PSEGs actions to improve performance in problem identification and resolution, and the safety conscious work environment at the stations.

The meeting was opened by Brian Holian, Director, Division of Reactor Projects, NRC Region I, who introduced the staff and initiated the NRC presentation. The Regional Administrator also participated in the meeting. Following the introductions, the NRC presented the results of the recent inspection of the safety conscious work environment at Salem and Hope Creek. PSEG then discussed their actions to improve performance at the site. PSEG responded to questions by NRC staff members throughout the meeting. Approximately 50 people were in attendance.

After a short break, public attendees were offered the opportunity to ask questions of NRC officials. The comments and questions pertained mainly to the status of the safety conscious work environment at the site. The meeting was adjourned at approximately 9:00 p.m.
